Key location:

The key is in a key safe box next to the front door of the property. The code for the box is 2014. There is a further key safe box for the back door (kitchen door) and the code for this is also 2014.

Please remember to lock both doors upon leaving the property and to replace the key back in the box.

What other keys does the cleaner need:

Cleaner key safe is located in the external linen store, as you enter through the door, it's fixed to the wall on your right hand side at head height. The code for this is 2007.

Where are the spare keys?

Sally's Cottages and the handyman/gardener Gary Hayes will have a set.

What happens with the bins:

There are several recycling bins which are kept in the kitchen which are clearly labelled. When these get full guest can put them in the recycling outhouse which is also labelled. When the outhouse gets full, Gary Hayes the handyman removes them.

There is a silver general waste bin in the kitchen which is empties into the wheelie bins at the bottom of the drive.

Heating and Hot Water

Normal settings for heating, how do visitors boost this if they need to?

The house is heated via a central heating system and there are are also two log stoves located in the sitting room.
This has a hive system which the owner Tom controls and the thermostat is located in the cottage hallway and can be accessed to boost the heating on demand.
There are labels on the thermostat for use as well as instructions in the welcome book.
The boiler is located in the locked cleaners room, the code for the padlock is 2007 if it 4 digits and 207 if it's 3 digits.

Cleaner instructions for heating settings:

The hub for the Hive system is located on he sideboard in the hallway between the 2 living rooms. From time to time guests may accidentally switch it off or unplug it. Please make sure that it is always plugged in and switched on or the heating will not work.
